With iX Suite, you can manage aerial mapping projects from planning the mission to delivering the final images for photogrammetry. iX Suite Process ensures that all mission-critical data is collected and handled efficiently. Quality control is easy and robust with the software, beginning with your flight planning, through the flight, and towards the post-flight review, minimizing effort and securing your on-time project delivery, image quality, and budget.
iX Suite comprises: iX Plan; iX Flight Pro; and iX Process
Mission planning tool
iX Plan is an aero-photography flight planning software that translates your project contract requirements into a flying and image collection plan.
Plan large and complex projects quickly and accurately with iX Plan.
- Internal sensors database
- Support for all PAS products, including oblique system
- Import or generation of your area of interest
- Import of SRTM DTMs or customer supplied DTMs in various formats
- Support for various coordinate systems
- Automatic building of flight lines according to user-supplied parameters
- Editing of plans and lines
- Numbering of lines and images
- Placement and presentation of GCPs
- QA for GSD, coverage, and overlap
- Export plan to other systems
- Export to spreadsheet.
iX Plan is an aero-photography flight planning software that translates your project contract requirements into a flying and image collection plan. The software takes the camera and lidar properties, area polygon, overlap, and side lap requirements, as well as ground separation distance requirements into account when generating your flight plan.

iX Plan includes a sensor database and supports all Phase One cameras and systems, including our PAS 880 oblique and nadir system. Planning is shown on map layers, where you can easily verify adherence to your contract requirements. Flight lines and image points are displayed on maps, and you can export the data to spreadsheets for cost estimates.

iX Flight Pro
Flight and sensor management tool
iX Flight Pro is a flight and sensor management, and direction application that uses the flight plan, made by iX Plan, to show the pilot and the operator the project plan.
- Flight plan presentation
- Presentation of photography line flight directions
- Line interception and keeping symbology
- Sensor triggering
- Stabilizer mount control
- Image presentation
- Camera management
- Geographical context image presentation
- LiDAR start/stop
- Image collection summary and collection replan
- Extensive logging
- Immediate post-flight report
iX Flight Pro is a flight and sensor management, and direction application. iX Flight Pro uses the flight plan, made by iX Plan, to show the pilot and the operator the project plan. Once a photography line is selected, the application provides symbology that allows easy interception and precise following of the line. The application triggers the sensors on a predefined location for the generation of images in the correct contract parameters.

Sensors are managed in-flight by the operator through a touch GUI. Images are shown as they are collected and are presented both stand-alone and overlayed on the digital terrain model (DTM) in a geographical context for immediate control over the collection quality. The application also issues “start” and “stop” commands to the LiDAR system. iX Flight Pro presents line summaries, enabling you to mark cloudy images and select them for immediate re-fly.

iX Flight Pro interfaces with the GNSS and the IMU and drives the stabilizer mount changing its modes from standby to stabilize at the correct time.

iX Flight Pro collects and stores image thumbnails and logs during the flight that enable you to conduct a thorough and quick post-flight debriefing. A directory is automatically generated and exported for you to copy for analysis in the next step, iX Process.

Mission review, QA and image export
iX Process is a mission review, QA, and image export application. For its source information, it uses a directory, which is automatically generated and exported by iX Flight Pro.
- Image presentation in tree and geographical context
- Automatic presentation of missed images or images taken out of the specification envelop
- Presentation and selection of duplicate images.
- Selection of image set based on area of interest polygon
- Analysis of image overlaps
- Generation of a “working set” of images
- Generation of a QA log
- Image exporting
iX Process is a mission review, QA, and image export application. For its source information, it uses a directory, which is automatically generated and exported by iX Flight Pro. Using image thumbnails and relevant data from the iX Flight Pro directory, iX Process presents clear visual analysis tools of the flight such as:

- tree presentations of passes and image captures,

- covered areas,

- missed image and flight parameters

With the application, you review the images and select the relevant set for further work. Duplicated images are presented for evaluation and selection of the relevant ones to create a working set. The software automatically checks image overlaps and side laps against the mission spec and presents the exceptions to you for final approval. You may mark images for re-fly at any stage which are then stored in the project plan to be re-flown.

Once a relevant working set of images is created you can generate a list of working files, copy the relevant data, and send the IIQ images for processing and export to commercial image formats.

iX Process’s geographical context display presents the images from the flight overlayed on a DTM for a very clear view of flight coverage. iX Process also allows you to inspect each one in detail.
